Fun Fact – Prices at the Pump
With the prices of gas at a five year low, Newport Chamber of Commerce thought they would break down how much of the total RI price is taxes/fees and compare it to other New England states. (federal tax=$0.18.4)

- MA=$0.26.5
- CT=$0.47.4
- ME=$0.30.01
- NH= $0.23.83
- VT= $0.32
Now we know why gas is so much cheaper in Massachussetts, and New Hampshire, when we’re lucky enough to get there!
